What is WAN Miniport (ATW) ??

would it be necessary to obtain the additional files for it if i upgrade from Windows ME to Windows XP??

i checked my HCL for my computer and it said i may need additional files for that network adapter. i need some help. thanks in advance.

these are ussually included with the netowrk drivers from the vendor. You can download them from their site most of the time.
I believe that the miniports are used for things like VPN and such. they are installed automatically most of the time though, so I wouldn't worry about it...
