I used to use Nero to burn cds....all of a sudden it will not recognize my cd burnwer....I am wanting to put some graduation pictures on a cd for my wife.

Is there any other free program that will work, besides Nero.

Under the tab where it should be my samsung cd burner, it just now comes up image recorder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....thanks guys.

I think the drive is shot...gonna order a new one.

hey my Other pc is doing the same thing as yours?

Windows Detects them but not any other 3rd party software like.. Nero, DVD Shrink etc..?

Oddly on XP X64 I am having a issue like this both USB and my Internal SATA are saying no disk when i try an burn media and I know it's not the hardware as FreeBSD recognises the drives.

Can the Windows software write anything to disk with that drive? You should be able to burn images, music, and documents through the windows software pretty easily. Highlight all the files you want to burn then right click and copy and then you should be able to open the blank disk through Windows Explorer and then paste the files there. Once pasted you should get a prompt to write to disk or something like that.
