I'm going to have to agree. I used to be in the same boat as you. Now I copy anything important to an external drive that can be hooked up to any computer. I'd reccomend doing that.

In addition to sorting out all the mess and duplicates, just copy everything into one big folder and when it asks you if you want to replace an exisiting file select yes. This way you know you only have one copy of that file. Once you do all that you can sort it out accordingly.
