Default Need free antivirus software
Please recommend me some free antivirus software for XP. I haven't been keeping up on anything having to do with Windows for a couple of years now.

So which one of these two would be better for a slow-ish computer (XP w/ 256 MB of RAM ) ?

get Avast, i never notice it draining any resources from me. I got a 2.8ghz P4 with 512mb ram. Its 100% smooth and awesome for me.

I run avast on a 600mhz, 256mb ram computer.

Avast runs fine on my old computer (P4 2.4GHz and 256MB ram)

I'll go with AVG, I use it on older computers and it runs fine
