I have unrared my video from my dvd backup into my C drive and it gets deleted every now and then. I did not even delete it and its gone. At first I thought that I must've accidentally deleted but now im convinced that it is automatically getting deleted.
How to solve this problem?

Are you sure it isnt being quarentined by your antivirus?

Check and see if Kaspersky has removed teh file due to it finding something. That would be the first step. If it isnt Kaspersky could be your hard drive is failing if the data is disappearing with no explination. That is usually one of the signs of a hard drive failing.

any other way to check if the hard drive is failing or not? that would be REALLY REALLY bad if it is because I have sensitive data and unbacked up since I dont have a external harddrive yet...

Well if it makes any kind of noise, like a clicking sound is also a sign of failure.
