i just registered for a microsoft passport acct using my existing yahoo e-mail id.

but i cant use it to sign into the MSN Messenger!

i checked the status but its not able to!

whats wrong?

Messenger version is 6.3 or something like that. its on my Win 98

first, sign up for hotmail using a hotmail email address!

second, try installing the latest version of msn, it is 7.5.

third, if you cant get the latest version of msn, use trillian, it lets you sign in to aol, msn, yahoo, and icq.

make sure you're using your passport password, and not your yahoo password. they are different

i got it installed and working on windows xp but it doesnt seem to work on win 98 as it says even after installing the latest version my IE isnt a higher version.

whats the latest version of IE and whats the link from where i can upgrade it?

also mine is not a registered version of windows s/w so will i be able to upgrade or will it prevent me?

IE is my only browser. does MSN work with Opera?

how does one install IE. does it automatically run setup program?

will i have to uninstall the earlier version myself or will it be done automatically?
