prelude beast

Default monitor not working right

I was hooking up my newer computer it about 2 yrs old . So i turn it on and was working fine monitor and computer i went to plug my speaker in the back of the computer it start making funny noise like 4-5 times and freeze up.So i hit restart button on the front of the computer. Computer start to come back on mad that funny sound again 4-5 times but the still on but the monitor only comes for like 4 sec and than either it cutting off or just going black can some one please help me.

Sounds like the speaker is shorting something out. Unplug whatever it was that you plugged in and see if that fixes the problem.
