My Mom works at church on a computer typing stuff mainly with Microsoft Word and Works.
Well her computer crashed so now she has a computer with Vista. The computer that crashed had Windows XP. While she was using the computer with XP, she done a lot of stuff with Microsoft Works.
They got most of the stuff transferred from the old computer to the new computer. Now the new computer has Microsoft Office 2007 installed, it also had Works installed too. When she opened one of the files with Word that was created with Works, most of it was a bunch of squares. No matter what type of font I used, I could not get it back to normal. I tried to open it with Works too and did the same thing.
Is there a way to fix this? I assume this is a compatibility issue. So far she has found only one file that this happens too.
