Default Microsoft Surface

The launch of Microsoft Surface marks the beginning of a new technology category and a user-interface revolution. Surface, Microsoft’s first surface computer, provides effortless interaction with digital content through natural hand gestures, touch and physical objects. Surface computing breaks down traditional barriers between people and technology, changing the way people interact with all kinds of everyday information — from photos to maps to menus.

It's both extraordinary & awesome, Unfortenately it is very expensive so it is a few years away. Microsoft says that in the future, screens like that will be even on walls

Haven't a few companies tried thing's like this and failed? OR they haven't been very successful.

But this one has something going for it, and I like the look of it I just hope I can get one, It could have great possibility's i.e. adding a new dimension to virtual chess.

This is a great Idea, but as stated, very expensive and will probably not work very well until later releases.

If it works, I will be all over it

Something similar has been tried and is still used, similar to touch screens, but not nearly as interactive as Surface. I think it will be amazing if it takes off and am looking forward to see what kind of apps it can do. I especially loved on the demo how the lady put down her zune and it came up, recognized it not only as a zune but as Jen's zune. Real cool stuff.
