I am working on friend of mine computer bad news is I am going to have to format it. The problem is he uses microsoft outlook and I have to get his emails and stuff. I got the emails and address book but for instance in the address book he has few groups which i copied using .pst file but when I open the groups they are empty. also how do I copy email account settings. Please help i tried to look up but I am stuck

Is this on an exchange server or like a personal POP3 account?

it is pop 3 account

He has regular email box with his cable internet provider, and than he also has hotmail.

Not exactly sure what your meaning. But let me just add, when you are saving to a .pst file, make sure to check the box where it says, "include subfolders." So if you go to the "personal folder" and save from there, and include subfolders, it will save the whole shabang. Just my 1 cent, cuz it probably aint worth 2.

if he has another email account and he is just use outlook, then his emails should be on the isp side unless he saves them localy
