Default Microsoft Office 2007 UI and Features - Short video overview

Here's a quick little video that gives a pretty good overview of Office 2007's new UI and highlights some of the new features:

Not an in-depth review, but it may save you from having to install the beta...

Best,

Benjamin

Why wouldn't we want to install the BETA? The only reason i wont use it is because of my crappy celeron. But other people love it, and its better than Office 11.

Not supposed to be spam. Not selling anything. Not asking for money. It's a personal video that I made myself, and am hosting on my own bandwidth.

To answer your question, as I mention in the video, unless you really love the new UI, there are not a whole lot of real 'gotta-have-it' features. If you're in a work environment, your company may not support the beta, and there may be stability issues (for instance, my computer crashed several times when trying to install the windows desktop search portion of Outlook, saying 'Access is Denied'. I found the fix, but it wasn't obvious).

I agree, it is better than office 11, but at the same time, the glitzy UI may not be enough to warrant a large download and buggy install... YMMV, however..

Check out the video for yourself... That's why I made it.

Best,

Benjamin

Nothing wrong with it, just:

1) Buggy install
2) May not be supported at work
3) Learning curve
4) = Not for everyone, if used for work, etc...

Best,

Benjamin

I see. It will be hard to use, i agree on that one.

Took me awhile to go from Office 2002 to 2003.
