Red face Microsoft internet explorer 6 SP1 wont open properly

A co-worker's computer with windows 98 on it, has internet explorer 6 SP1 on it. When I double click internet explorer on the desktop, nothing happens and I am forced to ctrl + alt + del to end task. I tried repairing internet explorer but it didnt do any good, can someone help me?

first off, go to windows explorer
on the top, type in your URL in the address bar

type in www.maxthon.com or www.avantbrowser.com
and download one of them as internet browser

the windows explorer should work as IE
