Microphone trouble

I am running win98. I am having trouble getting my microphone to work. I am not getting any imput and I'm not sure if the computer even recognizes it. Any tips would be great.

windows 98 doesnt support microphones. I had that same problem on my old emachines computer. You could try going into the audio controls, make sure everything is turned up, and not muted.

i swore win 98 supports microphone
well i had the 98SE, i used microphone on that pc before
