Hiya, had a problem with this before!
when i go onto windows media centre nothing comes up just a black screen, but the music does play???? i have to do Ctrl Alt Del to get out of it! i had to reformat the comp last time to get it to work! why does it do this?

so its showing your Desktop but not loading explorer.exe? try manually starting explore.exe to make sure its not corrupt ctrl + alt + del > files > new task > explorer.exe
