| MAJOR FAILURE, ATTN NEEDED So out of no where I goto my pc and i see this error
The Boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.
0XC000000e
SO i run win7 repair from the cd and i get this
Root cause found
Boot config is corrupt
Repair action: partition table repair
result failed. error code=0x490
i cant get into safe mode or anything
when i was in repair mode, i went to load drivers and in my computer it wouldnt show the hdd that had win xp installed but the other ones so im wondering if somethings wrong with that hdd all of a sudden..
Like all of a sudden my pc would hibernate after 20 mins and goto my log in screen when i move the mouse and it seemed like the pc had shut off which is weird cos i never set that option...cos i was just u sing the pc 10 mins before
then 10 mins later i goto my pc and see that error.
Any ideas, im really frustrated...thanks |

| Re: MAJOR FAILURE, ATTN NEEDED Try running the Startup Repair a couple of times. Most of the time with the Startup Repair option in Vista/Win7 it takes more than 1 time to fix the problem.

| Re: MAJOR FAILURE, ATTN NEEDED It always happens out of no where. If it was to be known that it was gonna happen would you have shut off the PC or restarted? Repairing the Windows Vista Bootloader - NeoSmart Technologies Wiki

| Re: MAJOR FAILURE, ATTN NEEDED If you Windows CD doesn't recognize that you have Windows installed on your HDD, your partition table may be effed.
You can try some of these or google more options "how to repair partition table"
