atopork Newb Techie Join Date: Aug 2006 Posts: 34	lsass.exe error my friends computer keeps get this message at start up saying lsass.exe error Its not the one that shuts your computer down ater 60 seconds, you cant even get in to windows. tryed safe mode no joy there aswel

Attempt a Repair from windows XP Disc.

Boot off of it.

You may have a variant of the Sasser worm. Try some antivirus scans. You may have to replace that file with one from a non infected machine or from the XP disk itself.
