Are you saying you want to create a 3D model of something in a game? Or you trying to create an actual map of landscape and such in a game?

You're not very clear.

What game is it? Will the 3D model be used? If so it will have to be a program that supports x file extension.

the game is called Shaiya and all i wanted to do was to make a 3d model of the dungeons in there

Your best bet will be to see on their site what type of file extensions they use and what type of program can do it. Since there are so many out there for all the different types of games it will be hard to narrow it down to the program(s) that might work with the supported file type.

so there's nothing out there that would let me plot my own points (x,y,z) into it so i can come up with a 3d map?

Sure there is, but we can't guarantee that it will work with the game. There is AutoCAD, CUDA from nVidia and so much more. But there is no saying that if you did create the map you could get it to work. Do you really want to go through the effort to create the map just to find out it dont work and be right back here where you started?

It is best to research and get the information first and be sure than to find out all your harf work was for nothing.

Does the game have a map maker? If it does it might tell us what extensions it uses, or what you are trying to make. An object, a big model, the layout itself?
