|  you can zip files in other formats with 7zip not sure if you will get the same great compression tar, zip, 7zip formats another great feature is you can add a password and encrypt file names also you can split files into multiple sections if needed |

 | Here's the files supported by WinRAR: Compress: .zip .rar Decompress: .rar .zip .cab .arj .lzh .ace .7-zip .tar .gzip .uue .bz2 .jar .iso .z Another very good (de)compression utility is WinACE. Much better and more options than WinZIP, as well.
