WinRAR adds more options when you right-click a zip file like Extract files here & extract all files. I use it more than WinZip.

Yeah, everyone is right. Winrar is probably the most simple and best because it is easy to use and supports most other compressions

also im not sure if this matters to some but its useful winrar can also read iso files to get files from them without mounting them or anything.

How about winrar's ability to zip a 10 gig file. you could break it up in small chunks or in 1 large file

I've used winzip for I don't know how long... but I'm going to have to look into winrar.

I found that 7-zip compresses files to less than half the size that WinZip does. The disadvantage is that files compressed with 7-zip has to be opened with 7-zip (but, if you select that option, 7-zip can open files compressed with WinZip); I don't know if that's the case with WinRAR.
