Trillian is a must-have for anyone that uses more than two IM mediums; I use all four, and IRC

I posted this as part of a post in Useful Links: under List of Lists and other links. I included a screenshot of my desktop with desktop sidebar in action there.

Oh, there is a new chat program not listed yet that is very nice, runs similar to ICQ and is fun to use. a bunch of my friends use it. I discovered it quite by accident when TechTV did a segment on Data Recovery software and highlighted this web site. Well, I went to the web site and while nosing around happened to notice they had a chat program...so I downloaded it and convinced a friend of mine to do the same. Now our entire group uses it cause AIM was being such a PITA.

The name of it is Habichat and it's icon that sits in your system tray is a little frog. You can check it out here: http://www.binarybiz.com/habichat/

Another program that I found helpful, espeically with as many items as I have that reside in my quick launch tray, is one called Desktop Sidebar and it is similar to the Longhorn sidebar. http://www.desktopsidebar.com/

I hope you find these links useful. Liz

Nice to see Miranda IM and WackGet in the list Paradox. But you forgot the amazing Media Monkey. Forget Foobar2000 and Winamp, Media Monkey is what you need!

I take it your a fan of the great þÄ®âÐÖx's work?

I don't know if anyone said this already, but for "backing-up" for DVD's get DVD Shrink 3.2 from http://www.dvd.box.sk

Not only does this thing rip the movie, but all of the menu's previews etc. You can even take all of those options out if you want and put 2 movies on one dvd. It's pretty crazy, and best of all, it's free.
