I use CCleaner to clean traces of my computing history. Anyone else have any freeware that cleanes the computer?

Several of my favorites here, but a few suggestions.

File Utilities:

FilZip - Zip/Unzip program www.filzip.com
TreeSize - Shows you what you are wasting all your disk space on Jam Software's Tree Size

Programming/File Editors:

EditPad Lite - Free Notepad replacement that's what Notepad should have been. I bought the Pro version, but only after a few years of using the Lite version.

CSDiff - File diff program - compares and shows the differences between two text files, two directories of files, and has good reporting capabilities.

X-Setup is the best registry tweaker.
Fix-It Ultilities is the best (reg)cleaner IMO.

X-Setup is free. I am not sure about Fix-It.
