| Laptop won't load anything Hiya every1,
I am pretty new at this but will give it a go.
I have recently been having problems with my laptop as when i load it and log in it doesn't load anything up. I am able to bring up the task manager but if I try to open anything using this then it says it does not have the supported software to accompany this or something like that. I have looked on other forums and it seems like it is something to do with explorer not loading but i am not sure ? Also I haven't got the XP installing disk as the laptop is from my college.
Can any1 help?
Thanks for your help

| Re: Laptop won't load anything Can you get into Safe Mode?
Hit F8 after the BIOS screen but before Windows loads. If you can get into Safe Mode create a new Profile. Then import the files from your old one.
It sounds as if the profile is corrupted.

| Re: Laptop won't load anything In the task manger click File>Run and type in explorer.exe and see if that allows you to get the explorer up to do something.

Create an association in the folder options control panel" but i don't know why it is telling me to do that when i can't access control panel either?
Thanks again |

| Re: Laptop won't load anything Wow you are going to have to get your hands on a XP disc that matches your OS. Either Home or Pro. The laptop is in serious trouble.
