Exclamation Laptop Turns off

I have a Laptop with Win2K pro. When it is plugged in it works fine(AC), but when you power on from the battery the computer turns off.
it works fine until the win2k screen then it stops and turns off.

The battery is fully charged.
also when you put the laptop in safe mode, it boots fine (Battery only)
At this point I think It's a software issue for sure.

Please let me know if you have ran into a problem like this or if you know what could be the cause of it, thanks.

Have you checked your power schemes?

Control Panel - Power Options

I think there are options there to turn off the computer based the amount of time you've been idle if you're using the battery...

So you're saying that if you turn on the laptop with the AC, then unplug it - it works fine?

Advanced Power Management

Plus to Note: some Laptop companies have posted fixes for the battery maximiser within the notebook. Look for updates at your laptop manufacturers website. Even if it is new,,

cheers
