My friend has an Acer laptop, and today he tried to start it up. It loads windows fine however there is no task bar or icons on the screen, he cannot do anything with the computer.
It's like when exploror.exe gets a problem and needs to close, the windows interface completely dissappears. (If anyone knows what im talking about.)
He does not have a virus scanner and uses p2p all the time, he's had problems with it before.
I told him that he most likely has another virus.
Could also be a windows issue.
Anyone else have any Ideas???
Im downloading avast onto a jump drive for him now...
Oh, he's using Windows XP SP2
