Default Laptop Screen turn off in Vista

Is there any command in vista that will turn off the screen to my laptop? I know I could just make a shortcut to a black screensaver, but even black is pretty bright. I know that there are a couple of programs I could download but I would rather just use something built in if it exists.

Thanks

my dell has a function key on the keyboard that lets you turn off the screen - yours might have one as well.

I've got buttons that adjust the brightness but nothing that turns it off.

Start > Control Panel > System & Maintenance > Power Options > Click "Change Plan settings" under whatever plan is currently selected > Set "Turn off Display" to whatever you want.

After a period of inactivity, then screen will turn off.

Oh...my bad. So you want like what? An icon or a keyboard shortcut or something that you can click to turn off the screen?

Power saver mode; and no as far as I know. Is it possible to key a script to accomplish that?
