Just so you understand the reason why everyone is saying that no quick "complete" kill is available, it's because even after format a couple of times (and we're not talking about quick format), there's still residual data that can be pulled up with the proper tools. That's why MrCoffee stated that a properly executed wipe would write to every sector of the hard drive multiple times. After so many rewrites, the original data is finally completely lost.
