Unhappy Javascript

OK i have a problem with javascript on one of my PCs, its driving me nuts.
Any javascript just won't work, the problem is the same in firefox and IE. I have reinstalled firefox, reinstalled java, reinstalled windows script.
I have tried loading in safe mode + networking and java script still doesnt work.
There anre no conspicuous errors in event viewer.

..

Stumped.

At first I was thinking that your javascript went bad, but you did re-install that. I had a similar problem, and updating all of my drivers (for everything) seemed to work. If your 100% up to date on that im not sure there is much else you can do.

uninstall Java. Delete the Java directories from C:\program files and from [b]"documents and settings\.java[\b] and \local settings\applications\java. Then delete the registry keys that are left behind. Make sure that IE doesn't show any add ons related to java. reboot.

Install Java. Reboot. does that work?
