Default Internet Doesn't work, on safemode it does

I work at the IT Department
Were receiving alot of HP computers turning blue screen
It happened on the 26th Windows Update
Windows VIsta is the OS
I restored back

One person came back with a problem
Her internet shows that its valid (blue globe and internet and local)
But can't use any browser
I can go to CMD and ping google.com
Replies would return
But can't work in the browser
Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox
All don't work

I went into safemode
It works fine
I changed the msconfig
Restarted
Still doesn't work

Scanned with CCleaner, Superantispyware
Restarted
Still doesn't work

ANy ideas on how to fix this problem?

thanks

Have you tried disabling the 26th update?

I restored the computer to before the 26th update (otherwise it wouldn't be able to boot)
I changed the msconfig to now boot normally (instead of stripped programs)

Yes I am sure that I am not working offline.

Log looks good.

You need to figure out exactly which update it is, then exclude it, it may not be needed. If it is needed then you will need to find out why its crashing the system.

Ok I'm running the update again.

I don't know why its crashing the system. My boss tells me that it has something to do with the video driver update thats causing it.

I still don't get why it says its connected the internet, be able to ping google.com but not use the browser to browse any websites.

And in safemode, it works perfectly fine.

There is a file, service, etc that is running in Normal Mode that doesn't run in Safe Mode. You could check the add-ons, disable one by one, close IE, open see if it connects, if it doesn't then go to the next one till it doesn't crash, etc.
