Question Installing multiple instances on Windows

Hello,

I require two environments (test and production) to be installed on a Windows platform. This forms an application front end with a database backend, currently undecided.

What are the implications of installing both instances on the same server, in terms of forcing hotfixes/patches etc.

Surely good practice would be to have the test environment completely segregated?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

The best way to go about this is to use VM ware or MS Virtual Machine
