When I download an executable software and save it to say my external HD, will it load all its files and stay on my external HD? I prefer to host it mainly on my external HD. Plz let me know.
It depends. If it is an executable it will open from the external, if it needs to install something unless malicious it will ask you where to install the files to. So say you save winzip.exe, once you run that application it will load up from the external then you point to where you want the files to be saved to.
