As you know I have a tri-boot PC, the question I have for you is it best to make an image of all 3 OS's from 1 PC or would it be better to do each different OS from their own individual one so I have 3 total images? I hope this makes sense.
This is a double edged sword question. Cause it would be best to do it from each OS. But as such you will me messing with the boot loaders and could possibly cause problems later. Which is what i have been trying to tell you for a while now.
With the setup the way you have it XP is on its own. But Vista/Win7 are controlled by the BCD. Vista is installed first. At that point Vista has the BCD and control of it. After installing Win7 it then takes control of the BCD adn the boot loader.
So if you were to put your Image of Vista back on, you would more than likely loss the Win7 aspect. Which would force you to then install EasyBCD and configure Win7 again or use the Win7 DVD and so on.
Honestly with what you are trying to accomplish you would be better off using the BIOS F12 Boot Menu option. As it would negate all of this and leave each OS to control its own boot. Would save you a ton of frustration. either that or pick the OS of choice and not triple boot. Since there is no need to have all 3 on there really.

Mak, I didn't know there was an option of boot menu handling. I will look into BIOS F12 Boot Menu option over the net to see how it works and the likes of it.
