Default imaging one drive to another

i have one ATA 100 250gb Drive, i am replacing it with a SATA 200gb Drive. I know you can image one drive to another but how do i do it when one is ATA and one is SATA?

you'll be able to distinguish it easily...what ever software u use (i use ghost) it'll tell you some informations on both hard drives like the capacity or what channel it's connected to.

Also, you can clone from one manufacturer's drive to another; from USB to IDE; from SATA to IDE; from SCSI to PC CARD or IEEE 1394 (Firewire); or any combination thereof. You can clone laptop hard drives to any of these devices, too.
