Default How To Transfer Files From Computer To Another Computer?

Hi, Im thinking of buying a new computer, But I have alot of stuff installed in this computer. I was wondering if it is possible to move these files from this one to the new one.

I think its possible and i saw it somewhere on windows xp introduction. something about file transfer.
I use win xp. and the computer im buying is win xp too.

Maybe I can Transfer files through LAN ?

Thanks for answers.

using a LAN is a good way, using RW cd's or dvd's, or taking out the hard drive set jumpers to slave and put it in new computer transfer all files and remove chaneg jumpers again. but LAN is the best way

if you dont have a router set up with a lan on it, you can get a crossover cable and use microsofts file and settings transfer wizard (FAST) to transfer all the files over...

its under:
Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools-> File and Settings Transfer Wizard
