Default How to get protected files off XP user account?

I ran into a problem with my harddrive where the sectors that windows is on went bad, and now i got a new harddrive, and i need most importantly to get my whole my documents folder, but i cant because the user was set to have his files privatized, so when i try to copy the my documents folder from the bad HDD to my new one, it says it cant because its like copy protected, anyway i can get around this?
