Default How do I refresh dns on vista

How does one refresh dns? On vista, I tried cmd prompt and typed ipconfig /flushdns and that didn't work. I also tried that way after I ran cmd prompt as admin and that didn't work. I got this info from googling.

This is the error I get "Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6001]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\Larry>ipconfig /flushdns

Windows IP Configuration

Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution.

C:\Users\Larry>"

What do I need to do?

thx
