It would be listed as C:\windows.old, all by itself. Everything from the old Windows folder will be in it, as well as documents and stuff. I know 7 made one for me when I installed the RC over Vista.

Them most likely, without knowing, you removed it when you first did the upgrade. The option is there and you probably didnt know what it was so you had it be removed.

I can say that i have Win7 65 Bit and i ahve run the latest set of nVidia drivers with no issues as all.

Huh. Oh well. I'm going to reformat tonight, though. Just bought another hard drive. I'm going to give Windows 7 another try, too, dual boot between a fresh install of Vista and 7. Maybe the fresh install of 7 will fix these issues

Sadly more times than not, a fresh install is always better than a upgrade. Best of luck we are here if you need any help or assistance.

I'm willing to bet going from Windows 7 to Windows Vista would introduce far more problems than what you're already experiencing.

I reformatted the 1.0TB last night (so I wouldn't lost my data) and did a fresh install of Windows 7. Within an hour of the first boot and update install, I got my first BSoD. So I'm totally ditching Windows 7 until SP1 or whenever I know there's drivers for everything on my computer that work. I'm fine on Vista for now

I haven't had any problems with Vista (SP2). None. Not one! I run it on four of my eight machines (Three are up to date desktops, two are Windows laptops, one of them a MacBook and the other two too old to run Vista decently)

After the BSoD on 7 I immediately put my Vista disk in and reinstalled. It's been running since about ten last night without any hiccups, so I'm happy

Upgrading an OS is always touchy.. Look at Vistas upgrade track record... Yopu probaBLY Are the 1 in 1000 to have issues.
