I have too problems on my one "built" computer, 2.4ghz, windows vista ultimate, 1gb ram, 80gb hard drive.
The first problem is the Windows Explorer. Yesterday, when I opened a window, say 'Downloads' and another window, say 'A' it was in the same window as 'Downloads' in other words, it opened in the same window. But today, when I opened 'Downloads' and 'A', it came up with a window so there were a total of 2 windows, 'Downloads' and 'A'. I have already tried to go to Tools > Folder Options > General [Tab] > and select "Open each folder in the same window" but that didn't seem to do any good.
The second problem is with Windows Internet Explorer 7. The other day I wanted to get a portable version of IE7 which I found and downloaded. I extracted and followed the instructions as it said and after that, it totally screwed me up. The so called "portable IE7" didn't work, neither did the IE7 that came with Vista when I installed it. Even if I tried to run the portable IE7 as Administrator, [i.e. Right click > Run as Administrator] it still didn't work. And by the way, when I opened the IE7 that came with Vista it pop up for half a second and disappeared, even if I run it as Administrator.
Any help guys? If you need the setup of the portable IE7 to see what was going on, contact me on
