Question Help: Start button moved to the right side with vertical taskbar

Hi everyone!

Somehow my wife accidently clicked something and now our start button is on the upper right hand of our computer screen and the task bar is vertical instead of the normal horizontal. Can anyone please tell us how to put it back to normal?

Thank you.

Just click on the taskbar and drag it back down to the bottom of the screen. You may need to unlock it first though. To do this, rightclick on the taskbar and make sure "lock the taskbar" is not checked.

Metal,

Thank you! I moved exactly as you said it would!

Have a great day!

No problem.

You may want to lock it though, so it doesn't move again. Just rightclick like before and make sure there's a check mark next to "Lock the taskbar".

Someone there obviously unchecked the lock taskbar option by accident and moved the taskbar to the side where it is likely to still be unlocked. At any time you can move it around in case you prefer having it on one side or the other or even on top like the preference here.

When right clicking on the taskbar you can also change the appearance of the Start menu by selecting the Classic look in the Start menu tab.
