| Help Please nvuninst.exe blank Screen. I was trying to uninstall the Nvidia 156.55 drivers on my Geforece 7600 card on my laptop. I could'nt Find where to do it, so I accidentally clicked a icon in the folder that said nvuninst.exe, and as soon as I did it the pc went into reboot. When It booted back up it dispays a black screen. I can still hear the bootup noise and my mouse and keyboard are working but I cant see antything. Does anyone have a solution to this. My safe mode doesnt work as well its just gives me a driver readng and freezes there. ????????? |

Is this XP or Vista? Have you tried a Restore point?
Cheers,

| Re: Help Please nvuninst.exe blank Screen. Hello,
A restore point is how to undo something that you had done. Use System Restore to Undo Changes if Problems Occur
It is all described there. Try that first.
Cheers,
Mak

| Re: Help Please nvuninst.exe blank Screen. Hello,
This is because the driver was lost that was powering the display.
You cant display anything if you dont have a driver for it.
Your best option is going to be a XP Repair install. How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install
Cheers,
Mak

| Re: Help Please nvuninst.exe blank Screen. Hello,
No this does not erase all files. This only replaces the Windows files. Which will also replace teh Driver file with a Windows generic one so that you can get the system working again.
Cheers,
Mak

| Re: Help Please nvuninst.exe blank Screen. Hello,
No. This is your best option. There is no other option to install the driver.
Your only hope would be if you knew you were at youre desktop and you inserted your CD that came with the video card. But even then you still need to see to agree to the terms and everything else.
So as i have said. A repair install is your best hope.
Cheers,
Mak
