I am in a bit of a jam, here. I am trying to help my girlfriend, whose compter has decided to either hide or (not sure how) delete nearly 80% of an entire hard drive partition. I personally think that the information has been moved, but since I cannot be at her computer, I cannot be fully confident of such. All that was done prior to the event was a simple, by-the-book removal of WinAmp. Any ideas what has caused this phenomenon? I'll be happy with any answers I can come up with.
Is the partition still there? Have you tried to tell her to use Recovery software?
