Default hard disk problem

My old laptop burned but I managed to rescue the hard disk. I connect it and it's works fine as external hard disk. The problem is that I can't open My Document folder in the old hard disk which was secured by the windows.

Is there a way I can open that folder in the old hard disk which is contain My Music, My Pictures etc.?

Thanx in advance.

Which OS are you currently using. You need to take ownership of the files. The old profile you had was password protected and you can not access the files from a different profile because of this.

This is not a hardware issue. This is a Windows issue. Moved to correct forum.

As i already asked. What Operating System are you running? I can not give directions on how to take ownership if i do not know which system you are running.

Here is both. XP:

How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP

Vista:

How-To: Take Ownership of Files in Vista - The NeoSmart Forums

Use which one you need to take ownership of the folders in question.
