ok i did all that but now its saying that it can't find the drivers for the Ethernet controller. i cant find the drivers for that. i looked on the gateway website but i dont know which one it can u tell me which one it is?

On most prebuilt computers the ethernet drivers come with the chipset drivers. Download the chipset drivers for your Gateway and see if the ethernet installs as well.

i didn't find those drivers on the CD. but i did get it to work. apperently i didnt need the ethernet controller drivers. i talked to me neighbor and her said i didnt need them so i went and got the drivers for the wireless card and i worked but now i have to get a new graphics card for it because my on board graphics card went out. im mad about that because i have already spent over 1500 dollars on this computer but there is nothing i can do about it.........
does anyone want to give me some ideas on a graphics card. (it has to either be for a Pci Express X16 or a PCI Express x1) thanks to all who reply.
