I just down loaded this and used imgburn and selected the option of write image file to disc and then put it in a PC but it went to the desktop. What am I doing wrong?

It is working somewhat now but when I put cd in and use 1st option why does it sit at "Starting hardware abstraction layer hald" and just sit there? Should I use some other option?
You will have to find the option that works on your PC. The First options works for me jsut fine. But i know when i had the 6800 Video Card in my sysem i had to go with the Legacy Boot option.
You jsut have to kep trying till you find the one that works for you.
