Default a good video editor?

Okay I've been WMM for awhile now, but it's been giving me a lot of grief, and I could REALLY do with an editor that'll let me have more audio levels (Like one for music, then have another layer so I toss in sound effects and what not)

Can anyone recommend me a video editor that's just a step up from WMM? I don't need anything fancy.

Again, thanks in advance you guys

Okay i think i know what this is for. You want to convert a file to a .avi right?

Have you tried AutoGTK? From what i know this is the best out there.

Well this may work, but I need something that's a movie maker of sorts, that way I can add commentary and text comments and all that

I make reviews and post them on youtube

Well for that you can use Nero Vision. That should accomplish what you want.
