Default Going from vista 32bit to 64bit Q

Hello, im going to go from vista home premium 32bit to home premium 64bit. will i have to do a fresh reformat? or is it a swappable upgrade like home premium going to ultimate can be?

No you can't upgrade from 32bit to 64bit. It requires a complete reinstall.

Mak - you should make a sticky on this one.

No you cannot upgrade a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit one.

Difference Between 32 Bit (x86) and 64 Bit (x64)
