alright so i come back to my computer after letting my bro play on it for a while and find that none of my games work anymore..... really really wierd....
bro was playin Half Life 2 episode one before i left, now non of the steam games work, bf2, b&w2, nfsmw, ut2004.... everytime i run them i either get an error saying please insert correct cd/ fatal error/ or the "windows had to shut down ____, sorry for the inconvience" error.
i bought a dvd burner today and installed it if that means anything, i know it works because HL2 episode one needs a dvd drive, but i don't think that that is the problem.
i restarted like 384943 times, only to find that the problem continues.
specs:
intel celeron D 3.2Ghz
Mach speed 1066Mhz mobo
1gig ram
NEC ND3550A DVD/CD-Rewritable drive
had this particular setup (excluding the dvd drive) for about 5 months, working great. any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
