Default Funny Wireless Connection

A friend of mine has a laptop with a wireless network card. When he was on a bus going to school, it detected a wireless network outside some shops. What do you think of that? Some people really need to upgrade thier firewall.

There wirleess network connection is not locked down. So he can get the net for free if the bus stops in front of one of those shops or he can screw their networks up. I do that around my sub division. Walk around with my PDA, I get all kinds of wireless broadcasts.

I think someone should use a WEP key. A firewall won't help in this matter if they don't secure the wireless connection. question

Hmm, if my friend is feeling evil, he can screw up somebody's network, or use thier internet bandwidth, excellent!

It's really not that big of a deal but then again it can be. I dont have mine locked down at the moment, but if I lived in the city I would have it locked down.
