I hear that after you delete stuff off windows XP it isn't actually deleted, that Windows retain the information incase you want to restore to a earlier date. How do I delete the information permanently.

By installing over it.
There is software that will permanently delete data for security purposes, just gotta research.

You need to trash your System Restore files : )

Go to your control panel and make sure it is on catagory view.

Then click on "Free up space on your hard disk."

After it finishes calculating click on the "More Options" tab.

At the bottom where it says "System Restore" click the "Clean up..." button.

Click yes when prompted to delete all but the most recent restore point.
