Im making a list of free alternatives for software applications, I work in education and we cant give out software to students. Open office is ok but for things like adobe products such as flash is there any alternatives free or cheap?

when I used Linux there was a group working on a project called gnash, a gnu alternative to flash. Last I checked (which has been a while) it wasn't anywhere near flash 9. I also don't know if you can use it with windows.
