Default Formatting question

Just curious, would a fresh install of either XP or Vista format 2 physical HDD in a computer? If not, would I have to format the HDD that the OS is NOT installed on?

thx

Default Re: Formatting question

No it would not format the drive that you are not isntalling the OS to. That can be done via Windows using the Disk Management or some of the Tools listed in the Recommended Tools for Certain Tasks in the Read First thread.

If you want to format everything, use DBAN, it's amazing.
